H-E-B is starting a debit card program that gives customers 5% cash back on name-brand items
H-E-B customers can now pay for food and household items in a new way and get more discounts at the same time.
A press release says that Texans will be able to use the H-E-B debit account service for the first time on September 12.
In the statement, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing Ashwin Nathan said, “At H-E-B, we’re always looking for new ways for Texans to save.” With this debit card, customers may have a better shopping experience by keeping more money in their wallets and taking advantage of attractive bonuses and perks.
The release lists some of the benefits of the debit card, such as 5% cash back on H-E-B brand items (like those from Hill Country Fare, Meal Simple, Field & Future by H-E-B, Home by H-E-B, Kodi, Cocinaware, H-E-B Kitchen & Table, and GTC), direct deposit payments two days earlier, free cash withdrawals at H-E-B-branded ATMs, free cell phone insurance when using the card, and identity.
Customers can link another debit card to their H-E-B account to make it easier to add money to it. You can apply for an account at hebdebit.com. The debit card is backed by the FDIC.
